“I now know where to find the right information”
Liliane, Integration Programme IT participant
Before Liliane joined Bon's Integration Programme IT, she was not sure how to get the right information. “Now I do, thanks in part to visits to the Beroepenpunt and companies like Proximus and Group S. The course was even better than I expected. I'm glad you don't just sit in the classroom. By going into the city, we saw what it's like in the real world.”
Learning about Belgium and discovering new opportunities
Liliane found it particularly valuable to learn more about Belgium. “How things work here, what the history is - before I did the course, I didn't know many things. To those just arriving here, I say: don't wait, do this as soon as possible!”
She wants to make a career switch from the medical sector to the IT world. “The world is becoming increas-ingly digital, and I want to get into that. I already have an online certificate in software testing and want to specialise in that domain further.”
Future plans step by step
In time, Liliane dreams of owning her own business. “But one step at a time. First I want to find a job and continue learning.” Besides her professional ambitions, she loves sports. “I love playing basketball with my children. My husband is currently doing a PhD in medical microbiology in Brussels. We are building our future here step by step.”
