bon and Globe Aroma are celebrating in La Tentation on Friday 5 December 2014!
During autumn break, the youngsters of Masir Avenir 2014 came to visit bon again. Each afternoon, bon organised an activity with project LOYO (Living On Your Own). LOYO offers holiday activities during school holidays for 40 young people, as well as weekly mentoring and support on Wednesday afternoons.
Safia would like to live without an adjective attached to her surname; like her origin or her colour. She wants to be someone who's able to fit in everywhere quickly. She sees herself as a world citizen who doesn't let her roots limit her. Everybody is connected: she is one of the many people who have come to Brussels from various countries and feel at home.
De Pianofabriek has been organising the ‘Come a Casa Lunch’ cooking workshops for a couple of years now. Last season, some of the workshops were given by bon students, and they always had a lot of success! That is why, starting this season, we're making our collaboration official. Aslesha Boyalla (26 years) is from India and has been living in Belgium for 8 months. She followed the bon integration programme in September 2014 and is currently taking Dutch language courses.
As of today, jobseekers with a foreign diploma can visit the website mydiploma.be. This website's aim is to help jobseekers get recognition for qualifications obtained abroad.
On September 21st, Brussels is holding its annual car-free Sunday! bon is organising the "bon 10 km": a run along the four bon locations. Join us for 5 or 10 km, either by biking, running or walking! Alternatively, just stop by our Molenbeek office in the afternoon to find out how we work, through workshops and an exhibition on 10 years of bon.
Suddenly the time had come: the last August weekend, the last weekend of Masir Avenir. For two months, about sixty youngsters participated in our summer integration programme. They finished in style with a weekend at sea.
The educational garden in the Toekomststraat 19 is part of a passive building with 4 apartments. The garden project is part of a sustainable neighbourhood contract with the municipality of Molenbeek. The semi-public area of 260 m² is accessible for residents of the apartments, locals and a number of non-profit organisations, including bon.
Because cycling is fun, healthy, ecological, and one of the most popular sports in Belgium! That is why vzw Pro Velo and bon are organising bike lessons for beginners the first two weeks of July.
